      Four taxa are recognized: R. brunneus brunneus Horn , R. brunneus fenyesi Méquignon a, R. pseudobrunneus , and R. galbus the other Nearctic species of the genus, a Notes on the Cosmopterigidae (Lepidoptera) of Afghanistan and Jammu & Kashmir, India with descriptions of two new species Article (PDF Available) January

      Larval descriptions are provided for eight Alloperla species found in eastern North America. Five of these, Alloperla atlantica Baumann, A. furcula Surdick, A. neglecta Frison, A. petasata Surdick The Nearctic species of the subgenus Anomophagus of the genus Rhizophagus are revised. Four taxa are recognized: R. brunneus brunneus, R. brunneus fenyesi, R. pseuodobrunneus sp. nov. and R. galbus The last 2 species are described from examples taken under the bark of Pinus contorta and P. ponderosa in the USA and Canada, and under the bark of Populus trichocarpa in Canada, resp.
